WICAS

Wirral Independent Civil Advocacy Service

We are a voluntary service for the community, providing Civil Advocacy for those who need it, we specialise in assisting with Council , Jobcentre, DWP, Benefit Tribunals as well  EHCP and SEN  issues.

We are NOT a legal advice service; we work closely with JCT Counselling service, assisting anyone who has mental health or learning difficulties as well as carers and family members trying to get the support for the one they love, or care for to navigate the system they are having difficulty with.

Advocacy is to make sure your voice is heard, and where possible your rights are maintained, we do not make decisions for you, simply, we explain and represent your views and consult with you on your wishes all through the journey.
Unlike other organisations, there is no time or sessions limit, our support is based on your need.

Our aim is to assist and hopefully reduce your stress and worries, Put you in charge of the situation and thus improve your quality of life.
